Eaton Introduces the FFCUP - A Flat Face Connect Under Pressure Plug

Eaton is proud to announce the introduction of the new FFCUP Series flat face connect under pressure plug quick disconnect coupling product line. The FFCUP Series features a plug with a dry break quick disconnect coupling for use in connect under pressure applications. The most common use for the FFCUP series is in hydraulic applications including those in construction, agriculture, and industrial markets.

To utilize the connect under pressure feature, the new FFCUP series plugs interchange with ISO 16028 couplings which include the Eaton MLFF and FF series. FFCUP plugs come standard in zinc plated carbon steel. Please refer to the “Connect Under Pressure Operating Guidelines” that can be found in the catalog E-MEQD-MC006-E to understand if this coupling is right for your application.
The features and benefits of the FFCUP Series are as follows:
· Patented design allows for connection under pressures up to 350 bar (5075 psi).
· Currently available in the 3/8” (ISO 10 mm) body size.
· Meets dimensional requirements of ISO 16028.
· Designed and manufactured in accordance with Article 3.3 of the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23 EC.
· Features a push-to-connect design with double shut-off flat face valves.
· Color coding ring option available to allow visual identification and to prevent mixing of connections.
· Available in end connections including BSPP and NPT. Alternative end connections are available upon request.
· Available with both nitrile (NBR) and polyurethane (AU) seal options.
Color coded rings are available in standard colors of red, green, blue, and yellow for the FFCUP plug and mating Eaton MLFF and FF series sockets. Additional colors are available upon request and based on a minimum order quantity of 500 pieces per part number.
There are no minimum order quantities and these couplings are packaged individually.
The product will be labeled with the brand names of “Eaton” and “Gromelle-Hansen”.
