The SMU-1 Series Inline Static Mixer is designed for UHP semiconductor fluid, DI water, aggressive chemical, and CMP slurry media applications. Its unique mixing technology improves blending and ensures quick and consistent mixing of process liquids. The SMU-1 Series is a fluoropolymer (PTFE) inline static mixer that's designed for use in ultra-high purity (UHP) semiconductor fluid, DI water, aggressive chemical, and CMP slurry media applications. It utilizes a newly developed, patent-pending mixing technology that improves radial mixing efficiency and consistency, and ensures quick and convenient blending of process liquids.
SMU-1 Series components are fabricated entirely from ultra-pure and inert PTFE material, which afford the mixer high cycle life, extreme resistance to corrosion, and compatibility with a wide range of aggressive process media. The mixer itself is highly compact and can be integrated directly into custom manifolds, thus allowing for less dead volume areas and highly efficient internal flow paths for optimal mixing. Compared to many of its predecessors' 12 to 18 inch dimensions, the SMU-1 Series has a smaller footprint, offering space savings in OEM systems and enabling use in tight areas. Overall, the innovative design enables the mixer to achieve blending/mixing performance comparable to that of products four to five times its size. The SMU-1 Series has no moving parts, which minimizes the likelihood of failure and extends product life. It is available in 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 inch port sizes with Parflare fittings. The fittings reduce assembly and installation time, while ensuring a leak-tight seal for performance in applications where cleanliness is critical. Flow capacities of the inline static mixer range from 0.10 to 4.09 Cv.
