EATON伊顿5400系列低含气量产品线专为空调、制冷剂、气体和流体输送应用而设计的制冷快速接头。符合SAE J2064性能和R134a。Danfoss 5400 系列快换是连接在制冷管线上,流损小、混入空气少。焊接头或者螺纹连接端口适合各种软管或者硬管连接,也可以适配隔板安装。市场:工程机械、农业、其设备空调制冷领域。应用:空调、制冷、气体和流体传输应用。尺寸:1/4” 至1” ,全尺寸覆盖。表面耐腐蚀达720小时无红锈,允许带压连接和断开,压降小流量大。Eaton’s 5400 Series low air inclusion product line is designed for air conditioning, refrigerant, gaseous and fluid transfer applications。Meets SAE J2064 Performance with R134a。

数字化进程的加速和“双碳”承诺都使得绿色数据中心建设成为大势所趋,浸没式液冷凭借节能环保、安全低耗等核心优势已然具备成为未来重要冷却技术的潜质,但全面推广仍存较多阻力。

 

浸没式液冷技术作为一种新型制冷方案,相较于空气冷却和冷板式间接液冷存在着显著优势。本文从部署原理、相变机制、冷却液类型等维度对当下主流的浸没式液冷技术展开了详细论述,并对其未来发展提出了推广建议。

 

一、 引言

近年来,人工智能、云计算、物联网、区块链等技术的不断进步,对电子信息设备的性能和集成度提出了越来越高的要求,随之而来的高热密度和巨额能耗等问题对数据中心制冷技术也提出了更高的挑战,具体表现在以下几个方面:

1.底层基础设施性能的不断提升带来数据中心能耗的显著增加。目前,高性能计算处理器单机热负荷已达到一般处理器的2倍以上,单机柜整体功耗已经翻倍,且数据中心的体量亦在与日俱增,高能耗已经成为一个亟待解决的问题。

2.电子器件功率和封装密度引发热流密度的急剧提升。据统计,失效的电子器件中有55%是由于温度过高或不均造成的,面对高功率和高封装带来的前所未有的冷却需求。

3.高效制冷成为数据中心转型的重要环节。冷却能耗占总能耗的40%左右,且运行过程中温度的不断升高会造成巨大隐患,因此提高制冷效率是高能效、高密度配置转型的有效手段。

4.国家已经颁布了一系列政策,旨在引导数据中心向绿色、高效的方向发展。如2020年国家发改委颁布的《关于加快构建全国一体化大数据中心协同创新体系的指导意见》中提到,2025年前大型数据中心PUE<1.3。这一举措极大推动了冷却技术的升级。

目前,数据中心主要制冷技术包括风冷、液冷、蒸发冷却和自然冷却,其中风冷技术虽然凭借其低成本、易维护等特性成为当前主要冷却方式,但也存在其局限性:

1.采用集中制冷模式冷却机架内所有的电子器件,加之空气的换热系数较低,导致制冷效率低下、冷却能耗过高。此外,冷热空气换热不均匀会形成局部热点,而为消除这些热点又会造成过度冷却、额外耗能。

2.需要大量的空间来放置空调、机架和送风通道,导致占用空间大、部署密度低。

3.常年不间断的运行模式,造成天然冷源的浪费,不利于节能环保。

传统风冷模式逐渐遇到瓶颈,数据中心制冷技术向精细化转变已成必然趋势,在此背景下,液冷技术以其高效绿色的特点引起行业的普遍关注。

 

二、液冷技术简介及对比

液冷是指使用液体取代空气作为冷媒,直接导向热源带走热量的制冷技术。相较于传统风冷,液冷具有显著的优势:

1.液体的比热容远高于空气,可以吸收大量热而保持温度在较小范围内波动,有效抑制温度骤升,在一定程度上允许超频工作,提升了集成度。

2.风冷制冷方式被取代,能耗迅速降低、电费支出减少,且几乎免除湿度、灰尘和振动影响,设备可靠性提升,硬件维护支出减少,同时减少了风扇的振动和噪音,基本可达到“静音机房”效果。

根据冷却液是否与IT设备直接接触,可将液冷技术分为间接液冷和直接液冷。间接液冷是指发热器件与液体冷媒之间没有直接接触的制冷方式,冷板式液冷是间接液冷的典型部署方式。而直接液冷采用冷却液,通过冷却液与发热元件直接接触将热量循环带走,其中最具代表性的就是浸没式液冷。本文从支持性能和综合性能两个方面进行了空气冷却、冷板式间接液冷和浸没式直接液冷的对比,详见表1、表2。

可以看出,冷板式液冷只有大功耗发热元件CPU)采用液冷散热,仍需保留部分风冷装置,且冷却液没有与电子元件直接接触,散热性能、空间利用率和节能降噪效果都不及浸没式液冷,故本文接下来针对浸没式液冷技术进行阐述。

 

三、浸没式液冷解决方案

浸没式液冷以液体作为传热介质,将发热电子元件直接浸没于冷却液中,通过冷却液与电子元件直接接触进行热交换带走热量,是一种新型高效、绿色节能的数据中心制冷解决方案。

根据冷却液是否发生相变,浸没式液冷分为相变浸没式液冷和单相浸没式液冷。相变浸没式液冷利用冷却液沸点低可发生沸腾相变的特性,在沸腾过程中利用潜热吸收热量来达到散热的效果。而单相浸没式液冷技术是指将电子设备完全浸没在冷却液中进行直接冷却,形成封闭的导热回路。相变浸没式液冷主要由冷却液、密封腔体、芯片散热膜模块、冷却模块和室外冷源组成,包括服务器冷却回路和冷凝冷却回路两个循环回路。

如图1所示,液冷机箱内装有低沸点的冷却介质,电子设备浸泡在密封的柜体中,电子元件工作时产生的热量会使得冷却液温度升高,当温度超过饱和温度时,冷却液受热沸腾形成蒸汽泡逃逸至机柜顶部的蒸汽区,即在罐内形成气相区域,形成的蒸汽被外循环回路的冷凝管换热器再次冷凝成液体滴落到机柜中,冷凝管中的水等其他冷却介质与冷却液换热后,由泵输入干燥塔,与空气进行冷却换热,通过循环流动将热量传递出去。中科曙光硅立方液冷相变冷却计算机采用的就是浸没相变液冷技术,以氟化液作为冷媒,实现能效比PUE突破性降至1.04,节能效果显著,此外还将CPU主频提高15-20%,单机柜功率密度提升至160kW,部署密度也达到领先水平。

如图2所示,在单相浸没式液冷中,冷却液与服务器热源直接进行对流换热,利用冷却液的显热吸收服务器产生的热量,同时通过循环泵使加热后的冷却液进入换热器与温水进行循环流动换热,将电子元件产生的热量通过换热器传递给外部冷却设备,末端外部冷却侧设备一般采用冷却塔或干冷塔等进行自然冷却,将热量传递到环境中,整个过程中冷却介质没有发生相变过程。阿里巴巴浙江仁和数据中心采用单相浸没液冷技术,将IT设备浸没在绝缘氟化液中,实现数据中心年均能源使用效率PUE不高于1.09。另一实例是网宿科技研发的DLC直接浸没式液冷技术,其最大的特点在于采用自研的矿物油作为浸没液体的冷却液,虽然无相变换热效率相对较低,但是成本低维护相对简易。

可以看出,冷却液作为浸没式液冷系统的重要组成部分,应具备以下特性:

1.良好的热物理性质,包括高热传导系数、高比热容和低粘度,对于浸没式相变液冷还应具有高汽化潜热,即同样的散热量消耗更少的冷却液。

2.单相冷却液应具有高沸点,而相变冷却液则应具有较低的沸点,即当电子设备温度不是很高时,冷却液也可以发生稳定相变带走热量,以确保设备温度保持平稳。

3.其液态、气态以及气液混合时都满足绝缘要求,与电子元件兼容,有良好化学和热稳定性,对环境友好,无毒无害无腐蚀易清理,且经济性高。目前,常见的冷却液包括芳香族物质、硅酸酯类、脂肪族化合物、有机硅及氟碳化合物等,其中应用广泛的是氟化液(氟碳化合物)和矿物油(脂肪族化合物)。氟化液虽具有较好的绝缘性和流动性,稳定不易燃,但价格昂贵。而矿物油具有价格低廉、环境友好的特性,且已经在电器元件直接接触式冷却方面得到广泛应用,如作为变压器油等。

 

四、浸没式液冷的未来发展

数字化进程的加速和“双碳”承诺都使得绿色数据中心建设成为大势所趋,浸没式液冷凭借节能环保、安全低耗等核心优势已然具备成为未来重要冷却技术的潜质,但全面推广仍存较多阻力:

1.初始部署投资大,价格昂贵的冷却液以及各种不菲的显性和隐性成本,造成前期成本增加。

2.许多企业尚无运营高功率密度数据中心的需求,风冷尚可解决散热问题,液冷并非首选。

3.数据中心管理人员对浸没式液冷技术所带来的基础设施架构与运维体系的变革,需要一个相对漫长的适应过程。

4.液冷系统设计建设和测试验收无标可依,产品质量和规格参差不齐,且尚未得到长期充分的验证,行业共识度不高。

 

为推进浸没式液冷逐渐发展成熟、数据中心行业脱碳转型,本文提出四点应用建议:

1.加速液冷行业设计建设标准的制定,完善设备安装调试等相关规范的普及,提高原材料和配件的通用性,支持液冷技术应用示范点的推进,实现由点及面的推广应用。

2.针对不同需求定制不同的制冷方案,“风冷+液冷”协同发展会更好地赋能各行各业的发展。

3.设置冷却液回流机制,将吸收的热量接入楼宇采暖系统和供水系统,在提升数据中心的制冷效率的同时,还实现了余热利用、创造了附加价值。

4.推动氟化液或矿物油的自主研发,打破国外垄断局面(现行的冷却液大多是价格高昂的进口氟化液,比如3M的氢氟醚),降低部署成本。

绿色数据中心时代已经到来,浸没式液冷的发展是机遇与挑战并存的过程,是昙花一现,还是成为新基建时代数据中心的主流让我们拭目以待。
